Mipso perform in the Radio Heartland studio

If it seems like only yesterday when Mipso played live in our studio, you're pretty much right. It was about 13 months ago when they were last in town, touring in support of Comin' Down the Mountain. While they were here, they played live in the studio, and we smiled, laughed and talked about the making of this new recording — but what they didn't mention is that they also had an another album of material already recorded and ready to go.
The new album, Edges Run, was recorded in the cold, wet, dark winter outside of Eugene, Ore., a slightly different vibe than the sunny summer recording locale in their home state of North Carolina for Comin' Down the Mountain. And they also were excited to work with producer Todd Sickafoose (Ani DiFranco) and get his creative input.
Mipso rolled into the Radio Heartland studio recently to play a few of the new tunes and to fess up about all of their dark secrets.
