Dan Auerbach and the Easy Eye Sound Revue perform in The Current's studio
by Mary Lucia and Cecilia Johnson
April 03, 2018
"I work seven days a week," Dan Auerbach says, "and it's still not enough time." He has a lot to show for the effort: a pair of acclaimed solo albums, eight Grammys, and a pile of successful bands, including the Black Keys and the Arcs. He also founded Easy Eye Sound, a label distributed by Nonesuch Records with Shannon & The Clams and Link Wray on the roster.
Amid all the hustle, he found time to stop by The Current for his second in-studio session. He brought Russ Pahl (Dobro resonator guitar), Dante Schwebel (guitar/vocals), and Pat McLaughlin (mandolin/vocals), members of the Easy Eye Sound Revue; special vocalist/tourmate Robert Finley tore it up performing his song "Medicine Woman" at the end. Dan Auerbach and the Easy Eye Sound Revue, featuring Robert Finley and Shannon Shaw and openers Shannon & the Clams, perform at the Palace Theatre tonight. Tickets will be available at the door.
