Coffee Break: Harmonica
by Anna Reed
March 29, 2018
Happy Birthday to Blues Traveler frontman John Popper, who is known for wearing a vest of many harmonicas.
His affinity for the instrument didn't start with the band, however. Legend has it that he played trumpet in his Princeton High School Studio Jazz Band, and convinced the teacher to let him play harmonica instead after performing an in-class harmonica solo on the song "She Blinded Me With Science."
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that feature the harmonica?
