Some things never change. And that's a good thing, right? Twenty years ago, Lucy Kaplansky, Richard Shindell and Dar Williams put their solo careers on hold for bit to record an album and to tour together as the supergroup, Cry Cry Cry. The album and its subsequent tour were an instant success, because … well … the three singer-songwriters are really, really good at their craft.
Last summer, when the possibility arose for a reunion, the three collaborators jumped at the opportunity — and they even planned a short reunion tour. Their path took them through the Midwest this month, and we were lucky to have Lucy, Richard and Dar agree to stop laughing long enough to drop in to the Radio Heartland studio for a chat and to share a few songs.
And … they're STILL really, really good at this.
