The Chart Show All-Time Hall of Fame ('09 to '17)

When a song has been on our chart for ten weeks it's inducted to our Hall of Fame. Below is the Top 20 of a list of 55 artists who've now been inducted more than 3 times. Their rank is delineated by the date of their debut. The Chart started way back in Oct 2009, one of the first inductees was Mason Jennings on December 17, 2009, he's now at #27 with 4 inductions, the last being on November 10, 2011. It's interesting to watch this year as long time residents of this chart; The xx, Arcade Fire and The National add to their totals, showing longevity with The Current audience.
The Black Keys might never add to their total, so appear destined to be dethroned. We decided this year that Courtney Barnett's induction with Kurt Vile shouldn't add to the seven indications she has solo. So IF Dan Auerbach gets in again, solo or with another band The Black Keys will not benefit.
Courtney continues to rep Australia alone in our Top 20 while The xx, Mumford and Sons, and Alt-J are the only Brits. One of my favorite in-studio sessions this year was a special stripped down set by Joe and Gus of Alt-J, who especially loved playing our grand piano and telling us about his choir boy days!
Also six local artists on this chart is a great example of how our audience supports MN musicians, and Bon Iver! Justin has plans to celebrate the 10 Anniversary of 'For Emma' next year, stay tuned. Cloud Cult will be part of the very prestigious American Songbook Series at Lincoln Center in NYC January 26th next year. And Dessa is very likely to add to her total on this chart with the forthcoming 'Chime' album.
Remember: You can help us with the evolution by voting for your favorite tracks every week! Stay safe and be peaceful to one another, and thanks for listening!
