It's been a long time since I've been here, as you can tell, but I'm back at work, and I want to thank everybody who has sent me really nice messages, happy that I returned to work.

I won't go into it too much, because it was hideous. But — perforated acute appendicitis. That's what I had. And it was one of those things where I kept thinking, "I can find something funny in anything" … and I couldn't. And the last words you ever want to text to your boss are, "I won't be back next week because they're going to install a drain" … and not in the kitchen sink. That's enough said about that.

Now it's Christmas time! And everybody has their own traditions, which is great, and for me, what I've been doing for the last three years is I'm going to New York City alone. People ask, "What shows are you going to go to?" None of them. I'm going to go there and just be alone with everybody, which is, to me, the greatest thing in the world and the greatest gift I could give myself.
