How many songwriters do you know that have written songs about such topics as bicycling, or Ruth Bader Ginsburg, or even the Minnesota State Fair? Not many, unless you know Ann Reed. Ann has a new album seasonally titled, Winter Springs, Summer Falls, and it's full of songs about the seasons, the sun, the stars, the birds. It's Ann's 24th record, but it also followed her first novel, released in 2016 (Citizens of Campbell).
Ann's CD release show is Sunday, Nov. 12, at St. Joan of Arc Church in Minneapolis. She and her longtime musical companion Joan Griffith stopped in the studio to talk about the new record.
