Lowland Hum perform in the Radio Heartland studio

September 20, 2017
Lowland Hum are a folk duo from Charlottesville, Virginia. Their latest album, Thin, came out in February of 2017. I missed their show when they were in the Twin Cities this past summer, but they turned around and came back and will be supporting Penny and Sparrow on Friday, Sept. 22, at the Dakota in Minneapolis.
One of the unique things about Lowland Hum — aka Lauren and Daniel Goans — is that they like to hand out lyric books to the audience for all of the songs they sing on any given night … not that they're asking the audience to sing along exactly, but that you can immerse yourself in the words as your ears are filled with their gorgeous sound.
Lowland Hum stopped in our studio to record a few tunes and to talk about life on the road.
