Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams perform in the Radio Heartland studio

Contraband Love hits the record store shelves on Friday, Sept. 15. It's the second album from Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams — two veterans of the music industry who have made careers, both separately and together, supporting other musicians on tour and in the studio. Both Larry and Teresa spent years on the road with Levon Helm as major parts of his band, and Larry was also Bob Dylan's principal instrumentalist on the road for nearly a decade.
After Larry and Teresa's tour ended after the release of their self-titled 2015 album, Larry started recording ideas for songs that were a bit more personal and even darker in some ways. Larry decided the next album had to be more personal. The result, Contraband Love, is another masterful collection of songs, and it's been called a "riskier side of Americana."
Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams, two of the nicest people in the business, were in town recently to open for John Prine. They stopped in the Radio Heartland studio with their acoustic guitars.
