For our latest MicroShow, we brought Beth Ditto to the Turf Club a few days before her debut solo album Fake Sugar was released.

Ditto harnessed the anticipation of the album's release and, mixed with the energy in the room, delivered a foot-stomping acoustic set with a strong dose of humor, too.

As host Jill Riley points out, Beth Ditto's voice, doesn't get enough credit for being one of the most powerful female voices in the music industry. The stripped-down acoustic setting shines a spotlight perfectly on her talents as a singer and a songwriter.
