Prophets of Rage, NIN, Alabama Shakes, Rainer Maria: What's New on The Current

Jade guides us through some more aggressive music and some new tunes with darker titles.
We start out with Prophets of Rage. That's the supergroup featuring members of Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill. They're getting together and making some really aggressive and political music with the song "Living on the 110."
Nine Inch Nails have a new one, it's called "Lesser Than." It's basically Trent Reznor doing what he does best, making this really tight and sleazy industrial rock.
And then we've got some songs with just kinda like spooky titles. Alabama Shakes — they're covering this 1946 hit "Killer Diller Blues," found on the American Epic Sessions LP.
Emily Haines, she's taking a break from Metric, joining up with The Soft Skeleton making a song called "Fatal Gift."
After an eleven year hiatus, Madison, Wisconsin band Rainer Maria have returned. They're back with a song called "Suicides and Lazy Eyes."
We've also got new music from Deer Tick and some more music from The Suburbs. That's what's new this week on The Current. And if there's something that you're listening to that we're not, let us know in the comments below here and who knows, maybe next week we'll be talking about your song.
