Bob Mould performs #MicroShow at the Turf Club in St. Paul
April 17, 2017
On April 21, 2016, Bob Mould began his #MicroShow set at the Turf Club in St. Paul, mere hours after it was announced that Prince had passed away. "For the next 45 minutes, let's just play some music, OK? Have some beer, relax, enjoy what we, you know as [Jill Riley and Brian Oake] said, what we're all hear to do is to live through the music, OK?"
Mould followed that introduction with a no holds barred eleven-song set (listen to all the tunes via the links above) pulled from his time in Sugar and his work as a soloist, including "See a Little Light," "Hold On," "Voices In My Head," and "If I Can't Change Your Mind."
At the end of the set, Mould shared these parting words with the Turf Club audience:
"Prince, Godspeed, please. Bless your soul wherever you are going and wherever you stay."
