Dead Horses perform in the Radio Heartland studio

The folks in Dead Horses are pretty stoked these days. The trio released a new album this past fall titled Cartoon Moon, recorded, coincidentally enough, at Cartoon Moon Studios in Nashville, Tenn., and they have also moved their home base to Milwaukee from Osh Kosh, Wis., where they got their start.
And the success they've had with the new material has led them to a prolonged winter tour starting in Nashville and moving on through Georgia, the Carolinas, Indiana, Michigan, back in Wisconsin and then out to the West Coast for shows in Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho and a bunch of venues in Colorado. Lead singer Sarah Vos says she's a little nervous about all of those new places, but confident in the band's material.
Dead Horses stopped in to the Radio Heartland studio last week when they were in town for a show at a packed Turf Club in St. Paul.
