Shortly after announcing that Paisley Park After Dark would live on through Friday night dance parties and Saturday movie screenings, Prince's studio has slotted the first After Dark events — a dance party and a screening of 1987 movie Sign O' The Times — for Dec. 2-3.

On Friday, Dec. 2, DJ Michael Holtz will take over the NPG Music Club from 6-11 p.m., spinning Prince hits and other party starters. Holtz spun at many Paisley Park After Dark events in days gone by, serving as Prince's personal DJ.

On Dec. 3 at 9 p.m., Paisley Park will screen Sign O' The Times in its cavernous soundstage. Often overlooked in favor of Purple Rain and other Prince movies, Sign O' The Times is a live concert film from 1987, and it accompanies the Prince album of the same name. While the film was meant to show Prince's performances on tour in Europe, the majority of its footage was actually reshot in the Paisley Park soundstage due to sound and video quality.

Both the dance parties and movie screenings will be packaged with a tour of Prince's home, and visitors can stay from the time their tour begins until 11 p.m. The Paisley Park Kitchen will offer dinner and snacks for purchase. While general admission tickets usually run fans $38.50, After Dark tickets are on sale for $60 (plus fees).

One more announcement: Paisley Park has listed cloud guitars (as seen in Purple Rain) for public pre-order. The Schecter Guitars products, available in both white and blue, are valued at $1,750.
