At long last, Hippo Campus have announced their debut full-length album. Landmark will be released Feb. 24, and a first song — "Boyish" — has already been released, with a new video added today. In tandem with the album news, the band announced a pair of headlining shows at First Avenue's Mainroom, on March 11 and 12.
The release will cap an incredible few years in the life of the young Woodbury-bred band, whose EPs Bashful Creatures and South have already won them legions of fans. They're particularly beloved for their live shows, which invariably attract rapturous crowds of listeners who walk away sharing sentiments like those of Maia Jacobson — who, after seeing the band last year, wrote, "It’s immediately recognizable that they’re whole-heartedly in this because they really, truly want to be."
Tickets for the First Ave shows go on sale Friday, Nov. 4; starting tomorrow, the band are offering a pre-sale deal that includes a four-pin set and an album download when Landmark comes out next year.
