Vicky Emerson and Sarah Morris have led parallel lives for the past several years. They both have records out, bands to work with and a stack of original tunes — all while raising two pre-teens each and managing their family lives and music careers in the Twin Cities. But up until about a year ago, they hadn't met.

That has changed recently. They've combined their talents and playlists, and now they're starting to venture out as a duo. This week marks the official "launch," if you will, of The Home Fires.

Vicky Emerson and Sarah Morris stopped into the Radio Heartland studio to let us sample this new collaboration.
