Glass Animals made a massive leap up 17 places to No.2 as they play a Twin Cities show this Friday at the Myth. Stream or tune in to The Current on Friday afternoon as Mac Wilson's hosts an in-studio session with the band, and/or stream to the one they recorded with me back in 2014.
Chance The Rapper is inducted to our Hall of Fame for the second time. Now, though, we might have to call him Chance "The Wrapper," as he is featured in a new KitKat ad.
The Head and the Heart are also inducted for the second time. They'll be playing two shows next week, one big and one small: a sold out performance on Thursday at Northrop and Wednesday at the Turf Club as a part of The Current's #MicroShow series – the only way in is to win!
As Local Natives hop back on the chart, they returned to the festival that put them on the musical map: Austin City Limits. Bill DeVille was there, and the festival's second installment will be streaming all weekend.

The Kungs song that I've nominated as one of my songs of the summer (along with Lizzo's "Good As Hell") is here, as summer officially ends! The band started life as a collaboration between the young French producer and an Australian act with a great name: Cookin' On 3 Burners! The original vocals are done by their Kylie Auldist, although she's not featured in the video that has amassed over 124 million views on YouTube!
