Friday Five: Sonny Knight, DEM YUUT, and more new Minnesota music videos
September 30, 2016
Sonny Knight and the Lakers, "Sooner Or Later"
Sonny Knight leaves it all on the pool table in "Sooner Or Later," a funky, beautifully colored film by director Erik Nelson and DP Kyle Moe. In two short weeks (October 14), Knight and the Lakers' album Sooner Or Later drops via Secret Stash Records — but if you're a fan of sneak peeks, head to First Avenue on October 8 for the album release party (Nooky Jones and Big Wave Dave & the Ripples open).
DEM YUUT, "Dawn/Sea"
Joe Clark directed and edited "Dawn/Sea," the mesmerizing first video from local band-to-watch DEM YUUT. Catch them live on October 7 at Icehouse.
Sims, "OneHundred"
Sims goes pastel and pastiche with assists from Otis N. Stanley, Isaac Gale, and David Jensen. More Than Ever, his first LP in five years, drops November 4.
Koo Koo Kanga Roo, "Positivity"
Having one of those days? Koo Koo Kanga Roo, reliable pick-me-up artists, come in clutch once again. "Positivity" has all sorts of tricks up its sleeve.
