Coffee Break: Country-rock
September 19, 2016

Today in 1973, Gram Parsons of the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers died of an overdose.
Parsons' music was a hybrid of country, rhythm and blues, soul, folk, and rock, and one of the defining examples of the Americana music genre.
Parsons liked to refer to his sound as "Cosmic American Music", but for today's Coffee Break, let's generalize it a little. What country-rock songs do you want to hear?
Songs played
Let It Ride - Ryan Adams and The Cardinals
Emmylou - First Aid Kit
Dead Flowers - The Rolling Stones
Chickamauga - Uncle Tupelo
Portland Oregon - Loretta Lynn
Shelter - Lone Justice
Color Of Her Eyes - Gear Daddies
