MTV has announced that Lizzo will be one of three co-hosts of the Video Music Awards pre-show on Sunday night — along with radio host Charlamagne Tha God and Snapchat celebrity DJ Khaled. (Billboard)

Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa sued over railing collapse
Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa are the targets of a lawsuit filed by 17 people who were injured when a railing collapsed at a joint concert by the two rappers on Aug. 5 in Camden, N.J. The owner of the venue, BB&T Pavilion, is also named as a defendant in the suit, which seeks monetary compensation. (Rolling Stone)

Sleigh Bells announce new album
Sleigh Bells have announced their first new album since Bitter Rivals (2013). Jessica Rabbit will be released Nov. 11. Two tracks from the album, "Hyper Dark" and "Rule Number One," have already been released. (Pitchfork)
J Dilla mixtape released
A previously unreleased mixtape by the late J Dilla has now been released, ahead of the Aug. 29 reissue of J Dilla's album The Shining. The mixtape, Back to the Crib, was made between 1999 and 2000. (Pitchfork)
