Having previously alleged that Demi Lovato’s song "Stars" contains a sample from their song "Infinity Guitars," Sleigh Bells are now suing Lovato along with her label and producers Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub. "A comparison of the two songs reveals that, at the very least, the combination of the hand claps and bass drum, structured as 3 quarter beats and a rest, with the bass drum providing a counter-rhythm to the hand claps, is at least substantially similar in both work," reads the complaint filed in California federal court. The producers of a new documentary about Howlin' Wolf are howlin' foul, saying Dan Auerbach walked away from the project and left them holding the bag. Smokestack Lightning Inc., the film's production company, is suing Auerbach for breaching a verbal agreement; the producers allege that Auerbach agreed to direct the film but then backed out after making unreasonable demands.
