NFL denies offering Super Bowl halftime show to Adele

After Adele said onstage that she turned down an offer to play the halftime show at Super Bowl 51, the National Football League and sponsor Pepsi have denied making an official offer. "The NFL and Pepsi are big fans of Adele. We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else." (Pitchfork)

In Los Angeles on Thursday night, Rick Astley played his first U.S. show since the 1980s. Billboard says the pop star's still got it, turning in "a flawless vocal performance."
