"Happy 4th July America!" tweeted Adele yesterday. "Really happy to be here [flag emoji]." With the tweet, the megastar shared a photo of herself with her band and crew at an undisclosed location — a dining car, seemingly.
Where did Adele stop on Independence Day? Well, we suspected she was in Minnesota, where her North American tour opens tonight at the Xcel Energy Center. Some initially suspected she was at Mickey's — Minnesota's most famous dining car — but close observation revealed that the setting didn't quite match.
Sharp-eyed breakfast fans soon figured it out: Adele was at the Hi-Lo Diner in Minneapolis, a 1957 Fodero Diner that was transported from Pennsylvania to its current location on East Lake Street. The diner was officially closed for the July 4 holiday — but closed to the rest of us obviously doesn't mean closed to one of the world's most beloved singer-songwriters.
