Australian producer Flume has previewed music from his forthcoming album Skin, which is out on Friday. Flume premiered a Beck collaboration on Beats 1, and streamed the entire album — including one track featuring Allan Kingdom – live on Facebook.

Musicians cancel on Kimmel over Trump

The Weeknd and Belly (the rapper, not the Tanya Donelly band) have canceled a planned appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live because they learned that Donald Trump would be appearing on the same episode. Moby releases four-hour ambient album

Moby has released a new album. Long Ambients1: Calm. Sleep. is available via streaming services and as a free download; the artist says it's "really quiet: no drums, no vocals, just very slow, calm, pretty chords and sounds and things for sleeping and yoga, etc." The set's 11 tracks were originally created by Moby as aids to his own relaxation. Jay Z alludes to Lemonade

In a verse appearing on a remix of Fat Joe’s song "All the Way," Jay Z alluded to his wife Beyoncé’s hit album Lemonade — widely understood to be an album about Jay Z's infidelity and the couple's subsequent rapprochement. "You know you made it when the fact/ Your marriage made it is worth millions," raps Jay Z. Then, in a reference to a Gang Starr song, he added, "Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is." Stephin Merritt writing 50 songs for 50 years

Stephin Merritt of the Magnetic Fields is celebrating his 50th birthday by writing and recording 50 songs — each telling the story of one year of his life.
