After the BET Awards criticized Madonna’s Billboard Music Awards tribute to Prince, Questlove responded by defending her performance. "Every Prince rendition will not be a life-changing orgasmic xperience," tweeted the Roots leader. "Just to SING his work is brave enough." (Rolling Stone)

Chance brings "Coloring World" to Chicago

This past weekend, Chance the Rapper celebrated the release — and immediate success — of his new mixtape Coloring Book with four (count 'em, four) parties in his native Chicago. Ramones reissue news

Bowie rarities to surface on BBC

The BBC has confirmed that an upcoming episode of their crowdsourced People's History of Pop documentary series will feature unreleased David Bowie music — including a "Space Oddity" demo and Bowie's version of "My Way," with Bowie-penned lyrics that were ultimately rejected in favor of Paul Anka lyrics for the version recorded by Frank Sinatra. Though never officially released, Bowie's take has been widely bootlegged. (Rolling Stone)

Morrissey denies Riot Fest booking
