Warner Bros. has announced that nine Prince albums dating from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s will be reissued on vinyl. (His earlier releases have already been reissued in recent years.) The new series of reissues will start in June with Around the World in a Day and continue to the December reissue of the 1992 "Love Symbol" album. (Star Tribune)

The Star Tribune has an in-depth report on the current legal status of Prince's estate. Lawyers say that Prince's sister and surviving half-siblings are "on the same page" as they move forward with their claim to the estate; a woman in Chicago has come forward claiming to be another half-sibling. Meanwhile, a claim by a California man who said he had an "implied agreement" with Prince over music rights has been dismissed as frivolous. "Oldchella" is official

It's been confirmed that a Mount Rushmore of rock will come together for an October festival in California. The event — officially called Desert Trip, and nicknamed "Oldchella" by sardonic observers — will feature Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Neil Young, and Roger Waters. New record shop coming to St. Paul

Three entrepreneurs are planning to open a new record shop and coffeehouse on the corner of Payne and York avenues in St. Paul. Caydence Records and Coffee "will sell new and used vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes, with a sales floor that will hold about 3,500 vinyl records and about 2,500 CDs," reports Lillie News. The shop is expected to open next month.

M.I.A. lacks visa

British recording artist M.I.A. says she does not have a visa to travel to the U.S., and tweets that she's "handing my last LP in to my American label this week." It remains unclear whether that means it's her last album, period, or just her last album with her American label. (Billboard)

Steven Tyler stepping out solo

Steven Tyler has announced a solo tour where, he says, he'll both play his new country songs and rework his Aerosmith hits. "What would I not pay to go see [Paul] McCartney, but instead of playing with whoever he's with now, actually do [a show] where he tells you what he was thinking when he wrote ‘Yesterday’?" says the singer. "That's what I'm doing. I figured I'd talk about 'Sweet Emotion' and 'Dream On' and where I was when I wrote it, and 'Seasons of Wither' and how I played it."
