Bully perform in The Current studio
by Bill DeVille, Leah Garaas and Bully
April 26, 2016
Bully's Alicia Bognanno — who has toured through Minneapolis and St. Paul six times in the last year and a half — isn't tired of playing the Twin Cities; she's stoked. In a way, every gig has been a homecoming for the Rosemount, Minn. native.
On their seventh trip, ahead of two sold out shows at First Avenue opening for Courtney Barnett, Bully — Bognanno (guitar), Clayton Parker (guitar), Reece Lazarus (bass) and Matt Hearn (drums) — stopped by The Current to perform in-studio and to chat with host Bill DeVille.
Since their debut album Feels Like released last year following their 2014 self-titled EP, Bully have been touring non-stop. Before summer's end they'll add another few thousand miles to their 100,000+ odometer as they hit the festival circuit including Sasquatch, Bonnaroo, Forecastle and Governor's Ball.
"We like what we're doing, and we're really happy. You give up a lot to just be touring all the time, and I don't think we'd do it if we didn't like it, playing live every night," said Bognanno back in November.
