DMA's perform in The Current studio
by Mac Wilson and Jay Gabler
April 08, 2016
DMA's have released their debut album, and they're feeling great. An EP released last year drew critical raves and comparisons to '90s Britpop, but the Sydney trio have firmly staked their own claim to listeners' hearts with the new Hills End.
Their debut LP, it's a shimmering collection of songs they're supporting with a world tour that stopped at the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis on Wednesday night. The following day, they stopped by our studios to play three songs from the album.
Tommy O'Dell, Johnny Took, and Matt Mason also spoke with Mac Wilson about the unique musical touches they added to the new album and their plans for a follow-up — and played an off-the-cuff excerpt from Cher's classic "Believe." They'll make you believe, too.
