Jesse Hughes makes provocative suggestion about Paris attacks

Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal has made comments suggesting that security at the Bataclan might have had foreknowledge of the deadly Paris attacks last fall. Lonely Island release star-studded movie trailer

A new trailer for the Lonely Island's movie Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping features appearances by "DJ Khaled, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Simon Cowell, a hologram Adam Levine, and more," summarizes Pitchfork, where you can watch the NSFW trailer. The movie comes out June 3.

New album announcements

Pianist Robert Glasper is helming two upcoming releases that will celebrate the legacy of Miles Davis. One is the soundtrack to Miles Ahead, the upcoming Don Cheadle movie inspired by Davis. Gary Clark Jr., Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Cheadle himself will contribute new music to that album, which will also include some of Davis's music. A second album will be a Davis tribute featuring artists including Stevie Wonder and Erykah Badu. The soundtrack comes out April 1, the day the film hits theaters. Hero guitarist stuns killer

Yishai Montgomery was strumming his guitar on a beach in Jaffa, Israel when he heard screams — an attacker with a knife had killed a tourist and was stabbing others. Montgomery got up, ran after the man, and smashed his guitar down on the attacker's head. "Dazed but not out," reports Billboard, "22 year-old Bashar Massalha continued running while Montgomery chased him, yelling “terrorist!” at him until police shot and killed the attacker." A GoFundMe campaign quickly paid for the replacement of Montgomery's guitar.
