Lizzo teams up with pop producer Ricky Reed for new single ‘Good as Hell’
March 07, 2016
Lizzo's hustle is impeccable. A mere three months have passed since the release of her album, Big GRRRL Small World, and she's already back in the studio hard at work on a follow-up with the powerhouse producer Ricky Reed. And if today's debut on Zane Lowe's Beats1 show is any indication of what's ahead, Lizzo is quickly moving up the ranks of the indie hip-hop world and starting to crossover into mainstream pop.
Lizzo's new single, "Good as Hell," was featured as Zane Lowe's "World Record" today, and she appeared on the DJ's Apple Radio show to talk about its placement on the forthcoming Barbershop 3: The Next Cut soundtrack. The next installment of the Barbershop series hits theaters April 15 and stars Ice Cube, Eve, and Nicki Minaj.
When asked about her plans for a new record, Lizzo said, "That's why I'm in L.A. I've been working out here with Ricky Reed... I like to make my records in different places. First it was Minneapolis, then it was Eau Claire. Now I'm doing it in L.A., and the vibe is obvious: Sunglasses and good times."
