Happy Friday! Deep in January weather, we know it can be hard to fantasize about warmer weather and more exciting times — but don't worry, we got you. Check out these five new music videos and you're sure to be transported somewhere else.

Poliça

This new music video by Poliça might be reminiscent of an eerie episode of Sesame Street, but has powerful political undertones. Poliça's third full-length album, United Crushers, is out March 4. To celebrate, they're playing a three days of shows at the Turf Club, 7th Street Entry, and First Avenue March 2-4 respectively. You can also catch them on The Current's Local Show this Sunday night, Jan. 31 (6-8 p.m.).

Reina del Cid

By far one of the most beautiful music videos this week is Reina del Cid's "Death Cap." It features beautiful landscapes of Iceland and ruminates on how fleeting life is. I had a chance to catch up with Reina del Cid about her Icelandic adventure earlier today; read our conversation here.

Tabah

This Tiny Desk contest entry from Minneapolis band Tabah is a great, intimate take on the title track of their latest EP. Interested listeners can find them this Saturday (1/30) at Icehouse.

Morris Day and the Time

With the big Morris Day and the Time concert coming up tonight at Paisley Park, today seems like a good day to revisit this early video from the band. "COOL" was filmed in 1981 at Minneapolis Central High School, where Morris, Prince, André Cymone, and more of the Minneapolis Sound pioneers attended classes together.

Rick McLean

This music video details the everyday occurrences of a certain "St. James" that has certainly "gone insane." The song is off Duluth artist Rick McLean's new EP Coupla Focal, and he directed and edited the video himself.
