9:30 Coffee Break: Cat Songs
by Jill Riley and Sean McPherson
October 29, 2015
October 29 is National Cat Day in the United States. First celebrated in 2005, National Cat Day was founded by animal welfare advocates Colleen Paige and Adam Olis, and its purpose is to recognize the number of cats that need to be rescued each year and also to encourage cat lovers to celebrate the cats in their lives. The day is supported by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a nonprofit organization that also works to encourage pet adoption.
It's a big day for cat lovers everywhere. As we appreciate our furry, feline companions, let's celebrate with a playlist of cat songs.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs about cats would you like to hear? Send us your requests.
