Jeffrey Foucault performs in the Radio Heartland studio
by Mike Pengra and Jeffrey Foucault
October 21, 2015
It took about a decade, but after playing Jeffrey Foucault's music for many years, we finally got a chance to meet him. Foucault (who pronounces his name in an anglicized way; it sounds like "FOLK-alt") is a native of Wisconsin, but he now lives in Massachusetts with his wife Kris Delmhorst (another songwriter on my "must meet" list) and their daughter.
Foucault's latest album, Salt As Wolves was released Oct. 16, 2015, and the New York Times is already calling it "close to perfection."
He teamed up with producer/guitarist Bo Ramsey (Lucinda Williams, Greg Brown) again for this album and also with drummer Billy Conway who joined this live studio session. And on this tour, his opening act is singer-songwriter Caitlin Canty, who also joined us in the studio. It's a Radio Heartland Two-Fer!
