Charlie Parr performs live at the Minnesota State Fair
by Mark Wheat and Charlie Parr
August 28, 2015
What a year it's been for Charlie Parr. Back in April the Duluth-based folk musician released his first album on the St. Paul Grammy-winning Red House Records, broadening Parr's fan base far beyond greater Minnesota.
Parr went back to his roots and performed live at the Great Minnesota Get-Together playing songs—new, unreleased and old—at the MPR booth on the corner of Judson and Nelson during Mark Wheat's first live broadcast from the 2015 Minnesota State Fair.
Mark Wheat broadcasts live from the 2015 Minnesota State Fair each weekday from 3-7 p.m. Check Minnesota Public Radio's live performance schedule for the Great Minnesota Get-Together.
