Today’s Music News: Bono’s luggage fell out of his airplane and landed somewhere in Germany

Fortunately all passengers are safe despite an accident involving Bono's private Learjet: according to the Irish Daily Mail, the plane was over Germany when the passengers heard a thud from the rear of the aircraft. They landed in Berlin just a few minutes later and "were horrified to learn that the compartment at the rear of the place had completely detached. The entire door along with Bono and his companions’ luggage had fallen out mid-air. They don’t know if the door and the contents landed over water or land, but they were extremely lucky." (Billboard)
Culture Club have cancelled their entire upcoming tour due to a polyp that has developed on Boy George's throat. "We are hoping we can reschedule the concerts for next year, and hopefully George’s problem will be resolved," said the band in a statement. (Billboard)
26-year-old Zoe Fennessy of Nottinghamshire, England has had a portion of her brain removed to treat a unique neurological condition: she has an epileptic seizure every time she hears vocals by Ne-Yo. Notes from her medical team say that "We recognised a few musicogenic seizures arising from the right temporal lobe stimulated by songs sung by Neyo." Fennessy, who's lost six months of work due to her epilepsy, says that when she walks into a venue with a DJ, she has to go up and ask that Ne-Yo not be played. "People might think it is funny," she says, "and I can laugh at it myself—but it has taken over my life. It's ruined my life." (Daily Mirror)
