MPR's Movie Maven Stephanie Curtis joins Steve Seel and Jill Riley to talk about a new crime drama that features James Gandolfini in his final film role, The Drop. The film also stars Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace.

In The Drop, Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) finds himself at the center of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighborhood's past, which includes a decision by the financially strapped Cousin Marv (Galdolfini) involving Chechen gangsters.

Stephanie lauds this crime drama/mystery, and she also has praise for the work of Hardy and Gandolifini. "There are emotional truths to it," Stephanie says of The Drop. "It's a great little thriller."

The Drop is rated R and is playing in theaters throughout the region.
