Cube Critic: 'Guardians of the Galaxy'
by Euan Kerr
August 01, 2014
MPR News Arts Reporter and Cube Critic Euan Kerr joins Steve Seel and Jade (in for Jill Riley) to talk about a new film inspired by Marvel Comics characters.
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana as Peter Quill and Gamora, respectively. Quill — who wants to be called "Star-Lord" — is an American pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants. The film is directed by James Gunn.
Euan calls it "one of the most fun movies of the summer — one of those 'splosion movies, with fast one-liners delivered by raccoons in trees."

Guardians of the Galaxy is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for some language. It is playing at theaters everywhere.
MPR's Movie Maven, Stephanie Curtis, joins The Current's Morning Show to talk about films every Friday at 8:30 a.m.
