The Sporting Life with Startribune's Michael Rand: Minnesota Bids for a Super Bowl
January 27, 2014
Every Monday at 8:30am StarTribune sports writer Michael Rand stops into the Morning Show to share the latest news in Sports.
Today Michael Rand chatted with The Morning Show's Steve Seel and Jill Riley about:
1) Super Bowl! Ok, the big game is Sunday but the bigger news is that Minnesota is making a big push to land the game in 2018. Maybe the Vikings would be good enough to play in it?
2) TwinsFest was this past weekend, and everyone seems most excited about two players who haven't yet made it to the majors yet: Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano. How soon they arrive could signal how well the twins do this year.
3) Kevin Garnett went back to Boston for the first time since being traded to Brooklyn. He called it "by far the hardest day I've had to focus. This was bigger than Minnesota, even when I went back to Minnesota."
