Inside Llewyn Davis: Win a turntable, soundtrack and poster
December 16, 2013
You've probably heard a bit about Inside Llewyn Davis, the new movie by Minnesota-born brothers Joel and Ethan Coen. The film — and the soundtrack — is poised to become the biggest breakout music-movie revival since with O Brother Where Art Thou? 13 years ago.
Now about that soundtrack: it features actor Oscar Isaac in the titular role playing era-appropriate songs — but don't let that scare you — he sings and plays incredibly well. The compilation also features Marcus Mumford, The Punch Brothers, Justin Timberlake, and Dave Van Ronk, (around whose stories the film is loosely based.)
Since the film is set in New York's Greenwich Village on the eve of Bob Dylan's arrival, you'll have to listen on the right kind of equipment, which is why we're including a Crosley "Cruiser" portable turntable, and a copy of the soundtrack on vinyl as well as CD.
