9:30 Coffee Break: Hand Claps
September 20, 2013
We're easing into our Friday with an upbeat Coffee Break. Listener Stacy, from Belle Plain, MN wrote in with today's theme suggestion, "Strong handclaps in a song quickly makes it a favorite of mine. It's a natural, simplified, but really efficient way to create a beat. It taps into that primitive, instinctual music ability in all of us. No matter your music skill, you can probably "play" along to the song and feel like you're ready to tour with the band."
Thanks Stacy for the suggestion that everyone can join in on. What songs with handclaps featured heavily should we play for today's 9:30 Coffee Break?
Only one more week until our Coffee Break on the Road for September. We'll head out on the last Friday of the month with Peace Coffee, treats from Salty Tart, and local band Ginkgo. All you have to do to win is let us know why we should visit you: CoffeeBreak@TheCurrent.org
