Theft of the Dial: Maria Bamford
by Jill Riley
February 19, 2013
To celebrate the announcement of Wits™'s 2013 season, we're bringing you an exclusive web-only Theft of the Dial from one of last season's guests, the hilarious Maria Bamford.
Although she was born in California, Bamford grew up partially in Duluth and got her stand-up start in Minneapolis as a 19-year-old. She's since released three stand-up albums, made guest appearances in dozens of TV shows and movies, gained notoreity for her wildly creative autobiographical web series "The Maria Bamford Show," and honed her distinctive, impersonation-based style of comedy.
While in town for Wits™ during the winter, she stopped by The Current to chat with Jill Riley, take over our airwaves and share some of her favorite tunes.
