Icelandic post-rock quartet became one of the 2000s' most unlikely indie success stories, as the cryptic and inventive style of their albums Agaetis Byrjun and () earned them critical adoration and a devoted following of fans. 2005's Takk... and 2008's Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust cemented their reputation, and the band returned earlier this year with their sixth studio full-length, Valtari, which featured a more nuanced, electronica-influenced take on their epic ambient rock sound.
