The Head and the Heart perform in The Current studio

What a difference a year makes.
When we last caught up with The Head and the Heart, the Seattle-based indie folk/pop act was in town to open for Iron and Wine at First Avenue. Since then, they've continued touring extensively and were featured on late night talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live and Conan. The result? Not only is the band returning to headline their own sold-out show at First Ave, but the demand was so great, they needed to add a second show.
If their ascent continues at the same pace, the sky is the limit for what we can expect from The Head and the Heart in the future. On the afternoon of their second First Avenue performance, the band stopped by The Current to chat with Mark Wheat and play a few unreleased songs.
Songs performed: "Sounds Like Hallelujah," "Fire/Fear" and "Untitled."
