Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit, comoposed of sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, have been playing, recording and releasing music together since they were both in their teens. After a Fleet Foxes cover they had posted to YouTube became a blog sensation four years ago, the Söderbergs released their first EP, 2008's Drunken Trees, on Cellar Door Records.
In 2010, the sisters released their debut full-length, The Big Black & the Blue, which earned them praise and admiration among critics, especially for their lovely vocals. First Aid Kit's sophomore release, The Lion's Roar, features guest appearances from Joe Pernice and Conor Oberst and was released in January.
First Aid Kit stopped by The Current studios to chat with Mac Wilson and play a few songs.
Songs played: "The Lion's Roar," "In The Hearts of Men" and "Emmylou."
