The Rope perform in The Current studio
by David Campbell and The Rope
November 27, 2011
Taking cues from the post-punk era, local quintet The Rope have planted their dark bass-driven sound in the Twin Cities music scene. Formed in 2010, The Rope could easily be mistaken for a band from the 1980s. Their sound and look (lots of black and leather) are reminiscent of Joy Division, The Cult and The Psychedelic Furs.
The Rope's latest self-titled EP came out earlier this year on Late Century Records.
Songs performed: "Come With Me," "Water to Wine" and "Terminus."
