Chris Koza has collaborated with fellow Twin Cities musicians Peter Sieve, Luke Anderson and Linnea Mohn to create the new four-piece Rogue Valley.
Named after a rift in southern Oregon, Rogue Valley aim to release four concept albums within the span of a year. This series, beginning with the recent "Crater Lake," chronicles the experiences of two lovers road-tripping out west. Though the band's shared love of and time spent on the West Coast inspired "Crater Lake," the album was mostly recorded in a tiny cabin in Northern Minnesota.
Rogue Valley's sophomore effort, tentatively titled "The Bookseller's House," is slated for release on Friday August 13th at First Avenue. The group stopped by The Current studios to play some songs on The Local Show.
Songs performed: "Rose Festival," "Crystal Springs" and "Rockaway."
