With over a ten year career as lead singer for The Pharmacists, Ted Leo has become one of the most important and innovate musicians to spring from our nations capital. Starting his career in the post-hardcore scene of the late 80's, Ted worked with such bands as Citizen's Arrest, Animal Crackers, and most notably Chisel.
Drawing on his punk past, Ted and his Pharmaceutical clan combine soul, punk, and pop melodies creating an energetic and infectious sound.
The "Brutalist Bricks" is the sixth full length release from Ted Leo And The Pharmacists. The album was released on March 9, 2010 on Matador Records.
The band stopped by The Current studio for a live session. Songs performed:
"Even Heroes Have To Die", "The Angel's Share" and "One Polaroid A Day"
