Regina Spektor - in studio
May 02, 2006
Singer-songwriter Regina Spektor moved to the United States as a kid in 1989; her Jewish family left the Soviet Union to make a home in the less anti-Semitic New York City.
She hunkered down there and only left the tri-state area as an adult to tour with the Strokes.
Despite those tour mates, her piano-driven music has more in common with Tori Amos than garage rock.
Songs performed: "Fidelity," "Better," and "Samson."
