Chris Koza
Composer/performer Chris Koza is an internationally recognized Americana artist. Chris has toured the U.S. extensively since 2005. Also, he has shared the stage with Gordon Lightfoot, Patty Griffin, Brandi Carlile, Ingrid Michaelson, Andrew Bird and many others. His music appears regularly on ABC’s General Hospital, 60 Minutes, and Good Morning America. His song, “The Wolves and the Ravens”, was featured in Ben Stiller’s film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
On his seventeenth album, Chris doesn’t let being a veteran songwriter prevent exploring new approaches, textures, and nuance. Thus, the new twelve-song set, 2024’s Last Car In The Parking Lot, occupies both friendly and unfamiliar territory for Chris. To that end, he finds beauty and inspiration to be omnipresent. Furthermore, this is evident on 2023’s Rogue Valley release Shell Game and 2021’s instrumental album On Horseshoe Lake.
The sonic landscape of LCITPL steadies one foot in the realm of bedroom pop and another in an after-hours rock club trying to wind things down. Here, Koza accomplishes this with a steady diet of acoustic and electric guitars, piano, and tasteful pads. As long as the sun comes up, for Chris, there are people to meet, places to go, stories to live and a soundtrack to discover.
Lucy Michelle is a singer, songwriter, musician and artist from St. Paul, Minnesota. She performs and tours both solo and in various other configurations. Her latest album, Womanly, was self-released in the fall of 2023. The eleven-song set thematically dives into Lucy’s experience as a mother, partner, and creative spirit. Then, she explores navigating a day-to-day big on heart but short on time. Here, the songs veer from bright pop-rock to moody dusky ballads and sweet vignettes.
