If you tune in regularly to Transmission, then you know I spotlight many genres within the classic alternative world, whether it's punk, post punk, new wave, synth pop, dream pop, shoegaze and many others. Well, one of those others is second-wave ska, led by artists like the English Beat, Madness, the Selecter and the Specials — and it's that last band and its vocalist that we're going to focus on this week. It's already been two years since we lost the Specials’ frontman, Terry Hall, in December of 2022, and it's part of my job to keep his and the Specials’ awesome legacy in the spotlight. Hope you can join me this Thursday as we Look back at the legend named Terry Hall.
